Cobb County P.A.R.K.S. and MTB Atlanta (SORBA Atlanta) invite you to the 8th Annual Voodoo ALL-A-Toona Mountain Bike Race at Allatoona Creek! This challenging, single-lap race uses nearly every trail in the park.  It will be held Saturday, June 24th, 2023.  Both races and all classes will start promptly at 8:00 am (one single mass start.)  As always, this is an all-volunteer effort with 100% of proceeds being used to build and maintain the park's trails.

 

The 2023 version will be run counter-clockwise and will be ridden in the following order:  Start/finish in the field to Turtle Back, Turtle Back to Red Barron, Red Baron back to Turtle Back, Turtle Back to Mumbo Jumbo, Mumbo Jumbo to Voodoo, Voodoo to Hocus Pocus, Back to Voodoo, back to Mumbo Jumbo. Mumbo Jumbo to Love Shack, through the Pit Zone, and then on to Rusty Bucket. Rusty Bucket to Mason’s connector, Masons Connector to Masons Bridge, then crossing County Line Road and onto the short "yet to be named" new trail, back to the old hunting access road to Fern Gully, then to Wildcat, Driftwood, Lil' Badger and back to start/finish line.   We estimate the All-A-Toona race to be about 37 miles long.

 

*Half-Tooners will do all of the above, except Mumbo Jumbo, Voodoo, Hocus Pocus and Fern Gully.  We estimate the "Half-Toona" to be about 25 miles long.

 

Trails may be added, removed, or modified up until the last minute based on conditions so the exact race lengths are not known until we get a finisher. The trails are generally fast, flowy, and relatively flat. Red Barron, Voodoo, Hocus Pocus and Fern Gully offer more challenging sections including steep rocky/rooty climbs and man-made features. 

 

Participants are strongly encouraged to pre-ride the course and to ride within their limits - dismounting when necessary.  Pre-ride days are Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Cost/Deadlines:

Early registration is $50.00 (plus fees) using online registration by midnight on May 28th, 2023  After that date the cost increases to $65 (plus fees.) The last date to register is midnight Wednesday, June 21st, 2023. To guarantee your size race t-shirt, you must register by 11:59 pm on Sunday, June 4th, 2023.

 

Every penny we raise from this race will be used to build and maintain trails at Allatoona Creek Park.  Bring friends!
